Welcome back to SCOOP by VAVA Influence.
This week we're talking new trends, launch parties, how to navigate social media in the festive period and bidding a fond farewell to co-founder Francesca Morelli!
(We'll miss you!)
Jumping on the latest social media trends- especially on TikTok- isn't just about keeping up, it's also a powerful way to boost engagement, reach new audiences, and keep your brand or page relevant.
Trends enhance your visibility, resonate with wider audiences, and foster community participation because they encourage interaction. Showing your audience that you’re staying relevant is an important way of telling consumers you’re aware and involved in current conversations.
By adding your own unique spin to current trends, you stand out, you reiterate your brand’s tone of voice, and connect with new audiences, making it a hugely effective strategy for brand growth.
With the release of the Wicked movie, social media has gone into a frenzy with sounds, dance and movie quotes- and rightly so. For the next few weeks, we’re predicting a Wicked takeover.
It’s that time of year when everyone is reminiscing the warmer weather and planning their next adventures. We’ve been seeing tons of videos reflecting on what you were up to a few months ago and comparing it to now. For businesses this is a really cool way of humanising yourself to your audiences, and for creators, it's a great way to let your followers have a peek at your life offline!
Well known Royal Avenue venue, Haymarket, has just undergone a huge £3 million refurbishment, and on Thursday night, the VAVA Team invited down an influencer guest list to enjoy the launch night of their new extension.
Haymarket, known for its bottomless brunches and The Armoury, has now unveiled an exciting new concept, The Stock Exchange. This means that prices fluctuate based on popularity, there can also be spontaneous market crashes, meaning drink prices plummet.
They’ve also got tons of games, including darts and shuffleboard, to keep you entertained and, as I'm sure you’ve seen on social media, the real party is found in the girls bathroom.
With drinks from Jameson and Madri, as well as the Haymarket bar and delicious food, all our guests enjoyed a fabulous party that perfectly kicked off the festive period.
This week we said a very sad goodbye to one of the OG VAVA Girls, Fran. Back in 2020, Fran and Chloe turned their shared vision into reality by co-founding VAVA Influence.
Together, they laid the foundation for what has become a thriving business and a close-knit team of five. Fran’s passion, skills, and drive have been at the heart of VAVA’s journey, and her impact will always be a part of the VAVA story. She’ll be deeply missed, but we know she’s off to do incredible things.
We wished Fran farewell in typical VAVA fashion, cocktails at Margot, followed by dinner at YUGO and ending our night, as always, on the Ollie’s dancefloor.
On her departure, Fran said, "Founding and growing VAVA Influence has been an incredible journey, and I am immensely proud of what we've achieved together. Chloe has been a vital part of that success, and I know that the agency will flourish under her leadership. While I am excited to embrace new challenges, I will always be cheering on the team at VAVA Influence as they continue to thrive."

December is one of the busiest times of the year on social media. Feeds are flooded with fabulous Christmas decorations, shopping hauls, and an insane amount of Cyber Monday deals. For businesses, it’s prime time for promotions, sales, and engagement. However, the season also comes with challenges like oversaturation, burnout, and the pressure to stay visible. Here’s how to navigate the digital landscape during the holidays, as a creator or as a business.
1. Take Breaks & Prioritise Your Well-Being
Remember, the festive season is about joy, spending time with loved ones and taking a break. While social media can amplify festive cheer, it’s easy to fall into the trap of endless scrolling or feeling pressured to share every moment. While not everyone needs a full digital detox, it can be a great time of year to spend some time offline.
2. For Businesses: Avoiding Oversaturation
With every brand vying for consumer attention, the festive period can feel like a digital marketplace. The challenge lies in cutting through the noise without overwhelming your audience.
Here are our top three tips:
- Quality Over Quantity: Instead of bombarding followers with daily posts, focus on fewer but high-quality updates that truly resonate.
- Know Your Audience: Share content that aligns with what your audience values during the holidays, whether it’s thoughtful gift ideas, behind-the-scenes festive preparations, or genuine gratitude posts.
- Collaborations: Partner with complementary brands or influencers for joint campaigns. This cross-promotion can boost visibility without doubling the effort.
3. Preparation Is Key
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again. When it comes to Christmas Campaigns, preparation is key. Your Christmas campaign should be neatly wrapped up well before December hits. Not only does this help you stand out, it eliminates any stress of pulling together a last minute campaign. We recommend dedicating some time to batch creating your Chrismtas content a few weeks before, creating and scheduling posts in advance ensures you can enjoy the festivities without scrambling for last-minute ideas.
4. Celebrate the Real Moments
Remember, social media loves authenticity. Share real moments that your audience can connect with. As an individual, focus on the memories you’re creating offline. As a business, showcase your team, your gratitude for customers, or the stories behind your products.
